Citation Policy

Citations are the backbone of credible research education. This policy describes how we reference the scientific literature and how readers can verify every claim independently.

Primary Sources First

We prioritise peer-reviewed primary literature and registered clinical trials over secondary summaries. Each citation includes, where available, the title, authors, journal, and year alongside a stable identifier.

Stable Identifiers & Direct Links

Citations carry the identifiers researchers actually use: • PMID — links directly to the PubMed record. • NCT — links directly to the ClinicalTrials.gov study registration. • DOI — resolves to the publisher's copy of record. These let you go straight to the source rather than taking our summary on faith.

Representing Evidence Honestly

We distinguish between findings from in-vitro studies, animal models, and human trials, and we note sample sizes and limitations where they matter. We do not present preliminary or single-study findings as settled science.

No Fabricated Support

We never attach a citation that does not genuinely support the statement it accompanies, and we do not cite predatory or non-existent journals. If a claim cannot be responsibly sourced, we rephrase or remove it.
